This Holiday - Poem by Mark Anthony Mendoza

Season starts to change and the winds starts to cool
I could hear the music playing while the children dancing
All the gifts are placed under the tree with different colors
And love you can see on everybody’s face

Yet here I am alone in my room, looking down my window
Hoping the snow to fall, wishing miracles could happen
Yet here I am waiting for the one who could make this all true
Maybe she could bring the sun to shine on me

While everyone’s getting ready for their vacation
I spent my days waiting in vain, waiting for a chance
While the kids are laughing with joy and happiness
I sat here beside my fone waiting for someone to call

No, I’m not going to face this holiday while my heart is empty
I’ve been here for too long doing nothing just crying
So I guess I got to pick up the fone and tell her..
That it’s YOU who could make miracles come true
Who could make the Sun shine’s one me…
And baby it’s you who could fill up my life
