This Is His World, Not Mine Poem by Mohabeer Beeharry

This Is His World, Not Mine

Untie me
Set me free!
I am already bound
Do not bind me further.

However hard you wind the coil
Someday
from somewhere
He will appear.

And will with a gentle hand
And a gentler smile, undo the knot
And set me free.

How little you understand the strums in the trees
The light in the sun
How little you understand
What the birds say
At the splendour of the new born day

This place dear love
is his place
Where he comes to rest...in our hearts.
Seek not to hedge it in with prickly bush
And tears.

Letflowers bloom
Let fruits ripe
and stars fill the sky.

Let smiles last
love flourish
And wisdom grow.

What will come, will come
This is not your world
Nor mine
But His who madeit.
