This Is My Heart Poem by Luigi Culmone

This Is My Heart

Rating: 5.0

My voice filled with revelry,
permeates the hearts of so many.

They ask with wonder as to why such bliss?
I reply 'for I have found that which you have missed'.

It is not a lover,
and it is not a friend.
It is not a song,
nor a trend.

If you must know, please understand,
it is my heart that which transcends,
all of which is layed beneath,
the deepest stone,
above the tallest tree.

Similar to the river which ebbs and flows,
from me,
and into those
who may be saddened, or feel defeated,
I would give you my heart,
If you were to ever need it.

And that is AGAPE, the greatest of the three kinds of love, others are EROS & PHILOS. It's the kind of love that most religious and spiritual leaders have for humanity - JESUS CHRIST, MOHAMMED, BUDDHA among others. It's charity towards the uncharitable. The gift of one heart for sure is one that cannot be measured with money. I like the articulation of the poem. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
