This is my story
I will tell it the best way
I know how
You may be a little displeased
But please
Let my story be
Just let my history a page
Love me for who I am
I know not how to be another

This is my song
I will sing it the best way
I know how
You may be appalled by the thought
Of my hoary voice
My rhymes might be
But the buzz of many bees
When their blues cross your ears
Yet I am freed
By the thought
That I am just being me
 

My cause is justified by its nobility
Don’t get angry because I refused to sell my originality
Though I sold you my gold mine
Don’t ask for my mind
Never mind
If I make meaningless
Please, love me no less
Leave me a space to shine my star
I seek neither your applause
Nor your curse
