This Is Unknown Territory Poem by Aaron Burr

This Is Unknown Territory

Rating: 5.0

I walk through the woods
It is mid-day
But the clouds, so dark,
Make it seem Mid-Night
An owl hoots
I tremble in my boots
This is unknown territory
I now walk in
It seems man holds not a right
In this in this forest of night
Yet is not all life like this?
Don’t we walk through
This same kind of night
When going through mans own
Undecipherable rights
Society!
Socializing!
People!
This is the problem
We take ourselves too seriously
We must let go of our pride
We must respect each other
I don’t know if you see it, but I see it with my own eyes
Society is splashing our world with very poor dyes
This is Unknown territory I walk in
Even though this is my own society
A living thing that influences me
And in turn I influence it
Why must we all be hostile? ! ?
Why must society be unknown and unwelcoming
to even those that have given it birth?
