This Kid Poem by Christopher Zombie

This Kid

The fear that eats him alive at times
makes him cry and the dreams he had always dies

Yet its not the fist that he throws in pains way
its the words that he says every single day

He ignores what hurts him the most
yet he wishes he could run from coast to coast
he lives everyday just as you would
but holds in his pain just as much as you could

He hides his pain behind a smile
wondering if he could find true happiness for awhile
yet no one knows the hurt that he feels
all he knows is that there is a god that heals
the scars that are on his heart
he's giving up and falling apart

He looks at you and doesn't make a sound
asking god these questions as he looks around
'Is this the life that I will forever live
or is this just the lesson that you must give? '

The guy is well-known
yet the one who is always alone
is this where it all goes right?
or does he just go down without a fight?

I watch his life as the days go by
i convince that boy to always try
he always looks back and he always must say,
'I heard that line before, I hear it everyday.'

This is where i look down and cry,
knowing how bad he just wants to die.

What does someone want to hear
when there is not a single person near
he's tired of happiness always passing him by
Like aimless clouds up in the sky

He's strong when it comes to the way he feels
writing poems is the only way he deals

He goes to sleep that night
the first day down without a fight
he wakes up and looks in the mirror
and the boy he was talking about suddenly appears
and everything is a lot more clearer
