This Night Too Shall Pass Away* Poem by Mohammad Younus

This Night Too Shall Pass Away*

This night too shall pass away,
As shadows slowly release their hold.
Tonight, I refuse to simply sit,
Or let silver hours drift as I lie down cold.

While others sleep with eyes shut tight,
I remain awake to weave a dream,
One as perfect as God once dreamed,
When He formed me with His breath supreme.

There is light to guide my way,
And the moon smiles softly upon me.
The night breeze touches my soul,
Lifting me gently, setting me free.

Let me hear the divine call,
Breaking through the quiet night,
And count with reverent excellence—
The spark within, so pure and bright.

Within and around me, I see it glow—
Divine flashes in the stillness appear.
What is this light that dances so?
A presence that draws me near.

With divine wisdom, let me feel
The beauty of this sacred night,
To wonder and dream as darkness yields
To visions born of primordial light.
