This Pen Poem by Dan Ochs

This Pen

Won't you please love me so I can love myself?
Won't you please need me like I need someone else?
I felt your love come and go
Like the puddles of water left after the snow
This pen still bleeds this black ink
Not a shade brighter day
Fleeting colors of light sent through the gray
Won't you please love me so I can love myself?
Won't you please need me like I need someone else?
What eye does it take to see the beauty inside
For a comforting arm in which to confide
This pen still bleeds...
Can't you see past the anxiety your presence brings
This struggling star trying to shine its own things
Won't you please love me so I can love myself?
Won't you please need me like I need someone else?
When the price to feel becomes to much to afford
Cause you haven't been blessed with enough love's accord
This pen still...
And tears still do fall
Waiting for a voice to call
Won't you please love me so I can love myself?
Won't you please need me like I need someone else?
You have to much love to put in one place
To these beautiful flowers lies an unnoticed vase
This pen...
It lends an invitation to your welcome
Resilience...I hope I still have some
Won't you please stop this ink from bleeding?

I lik'd the reading of this poem. The repeats work too, giving to it a feeling of a song. Thanks for sharing!
