This Time Poem by charlotte harris

This Time

I won't play your games,
Not when you cheat,
I don't like to lose,
I like to beat.
Last time you won.
But not this time.
I'm three moves ahead,
I'm gonna win,
I'll overtake you,
Then I'll be the one to grin.
Last time you changed the rules.
This time I'm in charge.
You can't go twice,
You have to give me a chance,
You can't lead me on,
Or put me in a trance.
Last time you didn't play fair.
This time I'm watching you.
So beware...
