This Travelling Show Poem by Oliver Clarke

This Travelling Show

Rating: 4.3

All these fancy dreamers,
Well I am only one of them,
Ask me have I seen her,
Ask me if she’s back again.

Well I am sorry friend,
Because I really don’t know,
Why you keep on looking for,
This travelling show.

Well could you help me out?
There’s a question up in my mind,
How can you keep looking for?
What you may never find.

I’m not saying just give up,
Because it may come to you,
Just don’t go looking for it,
Or you will never see the truth.

What are you looking for inside your broken heart?
Are you hunting for the one that got away?
Or is it the friends you thought could help
Or is it possibly the one who’s come to stay?

All these fancy dreamers,
Well I am only one of them,
Ask me have I seen her,
Ask me if she’s back again.

I really appreciate the way this was rounded out in the end. It could have ended in any number of ways. A thoughtful thing to do. GW62
