This You Have Done: Poem by Micer Ambrosius

This You Have Done:

this you have done:

you – and those like you

betrayed, harassed

persecuted, abused

nothing was left undone;

we suffered it all

our livelihoods threatened

exhausted, quite worn out

miserably underpaid

(overworked, of course)

and on top of it all

the old chestnut:

“ blame the victim “,

assuaging your guilt
