Those With Compassion Poem by Francis Duggan

Those With Compassion

Of those with compassion the World is in need
Though sad to say nowadays they seem a rare breed
That there's more to life than self they do realize
And with the doing it hard people they can empathize,
For the welfare of others they genuinely do care
And their gift of compassion they feel happy to share
With the poor fringe dweller who struggles to live
In their show of kindness to others great hope they do give,
It is their gifts of compassion and kindness of heart
That from most others obviously place them apart
Nowadays compassion it is not the in thing
Tis of celebrities and elite sports people most prefer to sing
And though those with compassion only few highly rate
We need far more like them they surely are great.
