Though Eleven Be Near Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Though Eleven Be Near

Though eleven be near
The graves in the cemetery
Alert
Where I pass make not noise.

Nor see the shadows on the crosses.

Nor hands steal a rest on the
Grave Statues.

In this world now I accustomed live.

And count the hours to edge of the cliff.
