Though The Battle Was Won Poem by sean alexander

Though The Battle Was Won

Though the battle was won
The pain has only begun
A mothers lost son
At the hands of a gun

Crying tears of despair
That vanish in air
And nobody cares
About pain

Tell me
What’s to gain?
Through war
And suffering
What a shame

A mother that cried
Because her son died
But everything is washed in
The rain
