Thought Alone (Ion Murgeanu) Poem by Paul Abucean

Thought Alone (Ion Murgeanu)

I fear not what has not been
Nor what fails to come when called
Were it to be it would require no prodding
Rather it would come and we would once anew rejoice being
And what heck of a moth would come out of the cocoon
To dance with Death around the kitchen lamp
Where are treaties to be found alas they are all void
While the sturgeon was still jumping in the sink
The golden fish gobbled up the silver
Let flowers bloom and turn to dust
Then let us go for go we must
What do we strive for? Thought alone!
