Three Poem by Jim Boone

Three

We wee three:
My true love,
My new love
And me.
None were as happy
As we, as we walked
In the Galveston Island
Surf, thinking of what
We were about to do:
My true love,
My new love
And me.

Our guy things grew
As was passion's will
And want to do
Long before the Summer
Was through, we walked
In the same surf as two.

Many seasons have come
And past; the lonely piper
Runs through a seagull flock
And I walk in the island surf;
A poet with many words, on
Countless pages; now one.

That's life, a tapestry of
Emotions: Two, three,
Two, one...
