Three Hearts, One Kingdom Poem by Jasmine Thompson

Three Hearts, One Kingdom

The stars shined in the sky
Like headlights on a road
They light up the night

Deep in the shadows
A hidden face]
Running from this place

The night before
She dirtied his face
Now an attempt to bury him tonight

They waited for her
Knew she'd return
That's when they took her

Sentenced to death
Her fiancée cried
Then they both died

Her a noose
Him a blade
His mother than did the same

As their last breath was breathed
A new day gleamed
For a kingdom that became one
