Three Little Words Poem by PaulAndre Pelletier

Three Little Words

The words are not enough, too much limitation
To express my feelings, and my emotions
All of them, are barely adequate
The language of my heart, they cant translate

I open the cover, of a dictionnary
I search for meaning, but the words are empty
They are just letters, and definitions
Nothing that can, define my emotions

I try putting the words, on a sheet of paper
As hard as I try, they just get farther
If my love for you, is infinite
Words have a boundary, a limit

I try to sing, with the words a song
But as they leave my lips, they just feel wrong
Since how could words, ever describe
The endless love, that i feel inside

The words are confused, even in my mind
I think and i try, but can never find
How to tell you, how much you are dear
When using the wrong words, I so much fear

Sometimes it does feel, like its not enough
But these three little words, are all that i got
I love you

More than spring and summer
More than fall and winter
I love you

More than oceans and rivers
More than trees and flowers
I love you

More than suns and planets
More than stars and comets
I love you

More than life itself
I love you

In my heart, these three little words
Will remain true,
From now until the end of all worlds
I, love, you

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This is a poem about 3 little words oh so simple that I feel we dont use enough in our lives. And it is also the meaning, to me, of such words.
