Three Lost Birds Poem by Chukwuebuka Adebayo

Three Lost Birds

Have you seen a bird today?
A yellow, blue and green as hay?
They are three owned by the king
Which broke off and flew to wing
Tell everyone you meet not to swing
At them a stone.

That's is what I mean.
She has vowed as a queen
If any one could find the birds here
Bring them back to where they were
The king has made his pledges sincere
He will make him great.

That's what I heard.
They flew to hill of the dead
Which turns neither lefts nor rights
It will cost you seven days and nights
You will pass seven valleys and heights
Seven villages built in a cave.
