Chi Mary Kalu

Thrive - Poem by Chi Mary Kalu

The snow will always be white
The Zebra will always have stripes
The night must follow daylight
The lions roar when they will

You cannot stop the sunshine
You dare not hold the tide
The seasons follow in time
The rains will fall at its whim

Wisdom is knowing and accepting
What we can and cannot change
Courage is knowing and defending
What is fair to one and all

It matters not the public view
The fads, the fans or fallacies
It matters not what they think
Or say or feel about you

It matters now what you accept
Or think or say about you
Success is loving what you have
And leaving what you don't.
