Through The Air I Saw That Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Through The Air I Saw That

Through the air I saw that
The birth-cord was cut: the children
Asserted their independence early.
No coup they needed, bloody or not.
But needed only to assert themselves.
So long I said: I assert, you must
Assert.
