Thump Goes My Heart Poem by Christal Carpenter

Thump Goes My Heart

Thump goes my heart
When I see you
Walking down the hall

Bump goes my head
(I can’t think of you)
Against the wall

Crash goes my brain
When I talk to you
Over my words I fall

Smash goes my soul
I knew I loved you
And I felt so small

Dribble goes my self esteem
There are better girls for you
Like maybe some one not so dull

Giggle goes my legs
When I walk towards you
I feel like jell-o, I try to stall

Bang goes my blood
Just thinking of asking you
To a movie at the mall

Kiss goes my lips
Against the lips of you
I knew I had it ALL
