Till My Last Breath (Sonnet #44) Poem by Tina Baaklini

Till My Last Breath (Sonnet #44)

I love you, I love your tender, pure heart
Your soft heart that I carry within mine
I love your soul, we've been one at the start
How I wish to be with you all the time!

In this futile life, you're my permanence
Forever one we'll be, divine is love
Your love is my gift from the Providence
Oh, I long to be yours here and above!

I may forgo the world, but can't let you go
With you my soul is bare, unmasked, unveiled
We're real soulmates, my flaws you love, I know
You're my lover, friend, father... love prevails

Till my last breath my heart will call your name
So that in celestial planes we'll meet again
