Tilottoma Of The Fantasy Realm Poem by AL MAMUN RITON

Tilottoma Of The Fantasy Realm

In the blue of the cloudless sky, I sketched a figure,
A moment later, an image emerged with smiling eyes.
Then I walked far, tearing through the heart of Sahara.

This is the story of the bygone days of my life's journey,
My feet burn, my thirst parches my lips, my chest heaves.
Yet that character keeps me alive on the hot sand.

The image I draw in the sky, the image that becomes my cloud,
In that sketch, the eighteen-year-old Tilottama of the fantasy realm is revealed.
She is none other than my past, my love.

Encircling my present is the oil painting of life,
She who, though absent, is the beloved of eternal peace, the free and radiant love.
She is still the provision for my well-defined path of survival.
