Time Poem by Ricker Page

Time

Time ticks rather slowly
Or perhaps faster sometimes
I sit alone by my books
Wondering if this is all I could

Oh, look at those my age
Having fun, being wild
They seem much happier
While I am dead inside

Perhaps there lies a better tomorrow
A day full of golden light
Where nowhere is to be found sorrow
Just me and all thats right

I heave a sigh, put away my thoughts
Take my books again in hand
And continue like I always did
With a doubt I couldn't understand
