Why can’t you see me here
Its the hardest thing for me
I just can’t go on
This is just too much to handle

I wish you could see my heart
I just am not ready to hand over the keys
Please just give me some time
The longer you stay the more I open

You have seen me at my worst
Maybe someday you can see my best
That is not today but soon
They say time heals our brokenness

We all need some room
I don’t want to hurt you
This is so scary
To think that we use to be strangers

I was lost before you
You are my rock in this time
But soon you will leave
I can't bare that thought

But maybe someday
We will be together again
Lets make the most of this time
Maybe this is all we get

I know we will have trials
But what are friends for
If you can’t hold up each other
This time is hard for us both

Right now i need a friend
Maybe someday we can be more
But i'm not ready yet
I just need more time.
