Bombs Poem by Jaymie Potter

Bombs

The bombs were everywhere
It was our deepest nightmare
Everyone was gone
It just felt way too wrong

But I had to leave you
You could no longer be true
We used to be so in love
We were as tight as a glove

But then she came along
I just couldn’t be that strong
And don’t come crawling back
When she starts to slack

All I wanted was your heart
Apparently that wasn’t smart
Cuz you ripped it in two
I guess I should have knew

I saw all the warning signs
You didn’t even keep true to Valentines
What girl wants a guy like you
You have a major issue

Anyone who treats someone like dirt
They deserve to be hurt
Revenge is all I want
But that will only haunt
