Time Acquiesces To No One.

Time acquiesces to no one.

Those who rebuke its command and power, disregard the magnitude of the second, and aimlessly drift with no reverence for living.
To live is privilege: one a many have been denied, others have been stripped of, and the tragic ones who surrender it.

'Live like you're dying' is much too optimistic of an expression (as if you had a choice) . We are all dying slowly; beautifully, heinously. The exact caliber of death is neither relevant nor important the fact is we are dying. So to "live like you're dying' is to only evade the reality of the situation (that we "are" dying) , while hindering our maximum capacity of human experience and life.
Live because you're dying. Tomorrow is no more guaranteed than the next hour. No minute is minuscule; every second is a new breath that fills the lungs with life.

Many pessimists argue that life is short; but it's not the seemingly expeditious courses that life takes; instead, it's the lack of appreciation for every second of air we inhale. A few minutes without it we quickly realize how significant and vital the second is.

Gracious is the cabbage white butterfly that fancies the mind to engage an elaborate world that is more akin to I then I am to it, and then, suddenly, eluding the eye in mere seconds.

Staggering is the fluorescent moon that bids adieu to desolate streets and walkways; leaving ample space for the flamboyant sun to cascade its brilliant aura over the horizon in mere minutes.

I cringed every time I blink. To miss even a second of life's offerings is daunting, yet exuberating. For I know (more like hope) when my irises are reacquainted with the light, I will again be greeted by the wonders of life in a few milliseconds.

That being said, to waste time is a treacherous offense. Offenders are "Benedict Arnolds", whose self-inflicted wounds are cancerous and contagious. Those stifled by their antics fall victim to idleness as life briskly passes. Take absolutely nothing for granted, especially a second.

For time acquiesces to no one.
