I was wondering through a leafy lane
Looking at the wonders of the land
Seeing all that man has to gain
And trying to understand
The meadow was a pleasant yellow
As buttercups and daisies grew
The violets sat there..oh so mellow
Just soaking up the dew
The rabbits they were running
Like athletes in a race
Oblivious of everything
Including time and space
The freedom that they showed to me
I have never really understood
But it is embedded in my memory
And it really does me good
Whenever I’m feeling really low
And can’t get peace of mind
It's down to that lane I would go
To make love to nature kind
