Time brings about the changes and all things come to pass
Though times are getting harder for the hard working under class
They work hard for small wages and cannot feel financially secure
And the future is not looking rosy for the hard working poor.

They have to support their wives and families on such a small amount
Of money for to buy food and clothes and pay other bills their hard work for little count
So little of life's luxuries they can afford to enjoy
By Government economic rationalization those the hardest hit by.

For their good economy the Government the working poor create
And though they are the unsung heroes and the backbone of the State
They never receive the credit that they are overdue
Though to the ethic of work hard for your living they remain ever true.

Time brings about the changes they too will have their day
And better times for the underclass may not be far away
They struggle to support their families on their meagre take home pay
So much for we all are equal that some have been known to say
