Time For Me To Go Poem by James Lee Foster

Time For Me To Go

Dark clouds overhead

Lingering in the air

Like words you said

Letting me know you really do not care

Take em for what they are worth

Not much

You can still hurt

Without the slightest touch

I meddled

Cause I cared

Now you have the memories

Of the times we shared

I meddle no more

Cause you made a choice

Remember that

Next time you call....longing to hear my voice

Cause this voice is silent

Like that of freshly fallen snow

It is not that I do not care

It is just time for me to go.

This poem may sound like I have given up all hope on living. In all actuality...it is a statement to my ex that, while she may not want me to give up on her while she tries to sort out her life and current relationship...I can not wait for her any longer..I need to move forward with my life..just as she has tried to do with hers.
