Time makes you a better lover
It's the absence of love that does so
Not the frequency, you know…
To know how fragile love really is
To know how rare it is
To crave it's feeling
To crave it's passion
But the absence of love…
The loneliness
The hardship you face
Makes you humble
Makes your heart dream and race
Makes you care a bit more about others
Makes your feel more longing
Makes you more forgiving
Better at giving and better at living
Time makes you a better lover
As your dreams fall away
Or go astray
But one dream stays
and becomes more clear
If you do find love……
You'll wish for them to be near
Time will make you a better lover
There is more to love than making love
Under the cover
Closeness will be closer
The hands will grasp tighter
The kisses will be more tender
The tears will be few
And if you cry I’ll catch them for you
The smiles will come more naturally
The tenderness will be true
Time will have made you a better lover
Knowing this is so
I wait only for it to finally show
