Time To Go Poem by Katherine Bryce

Time To Go

You said you're sorry,
so I waited for your story.
I knew it was big,
time to take off the make-up and the wig.

No more pretending nothing went down,
no more playing around.
Just go ahead and say it,
don't create a big fit.

Speak your mind,
I promise to be kind.
Tell me what's wrong,
no more of that sappy sad song.

'It's time to go,
this you know.'
No words I speak,
I stay quiet and meek.

Truth be told,
as the world unfold,
no tears I shed,
it's just in my head.

I thought it would pain me,
so much that I could no longer see.
I thought I'd care more,
I thought I'd find a sore.

But it turns out,
there's nothing I felt,
and so,
it truly is time to go.
