Time To Rupture My Soul.. Poem by Christos Menelaou

Time To Rupture My Soul..

Rating: 5.0

Tonight i am left, in pieces all scattered
a picture thats blurry and on it my foe
i tried it believe me, i tried but have failed
to fight off my demons, and stand toe-to-toe

So i call upon you, my darkest creation
my single great fear, the evil in me
reedem me, avenge me and be my salvation
through you i'll become the one i should be..

I. The darkest of shadows, now cast on their world
as their deepest doubts entangle their soul
for i set you free, with vengeance in mind
the rage that is in me, that once was my pride

Long have you waited, for this moment to come
to feed of my fears, as memories drown
in bottomless sea with no lighthouse at bay
resistance is futal, you grow stronger each day

So why do i fight you, you're all i have left
my guardian angel, the voice in my head
my story a dead-end, with nowhere to run
let light and the darkness in me become one..

II. The darkest of shadows, now cast on their world
as their greatest fears entangle the soul
for i set you free, salvation in mind
as crows show the way, guide me through this night

We tried it your way, now lets try it mine
and no hesitation when crossing the line
Its just and its righteous, but make no mistake
The scars in your soul, are all but not fake

We tried it your way, now lets try it mine
theres no turning back once you cross that line,
your ego will grow in strength and in size
but your soul will pay, the ultimate prize..

Let it be done, i surrender my soul
once have i loved, and so did i fall
do what you must, every dark deed
my heart just delivered its terminal bit

III.The darkest of shadows now cast on their world
as their greatest fears entagle their soul
for i set you free, redemption in mind
in this final battle, this ultimate fight

The darkest of shadows, i shall cast on your world
as your greatest fears have ruptured your soul
for i am alive and finally free..
for i have returned.That time again. Flee! ! !

Something that came out of the blue...A first draft, writen on a napkin a waiter was so kind to pass me, in an almost empty 24-hour pub, in a long forgotten land.. Dedicated to those that have left Fate to guide them, yet have suffered too much, for too long in her hands..Those that think they are out of options...There is always another way...
