Time To Turn Around Poem by Michael Silver

Time To Turn Around

My enemy is intent to throw me down
But I’ll always come right off the ground
He’s always on the prowl, looking for a fight
But he better watch out when day turns to night
Cause I’m about to change to a different tune
And he’s gonna get what’s comin’ real soon
He thinks I’m small, but that’s a lie
I’m so tall I can bring down the sky
He thinks I’m weak, that I am fragile
We’ll see what he thinks when he has a broken smile
I’m slick, I’m mean, I’m TNT
He’s gonna learn fast not to mess with me
I’ve turned my cheeks’, I’ve not said a word
But push me too hard and I’m a two edged sword
I’m not really a fighter, but this has gone on too long
Time to separate the weak from the strong
Put up your’ fists, let’s start a full scale war
We’ll see how tuff you are through the blood and gore
I may seem quite, that should give him chills
He should remember that silence kills
My enemy is intent to throw me down
But he’ll be surprised when things turn around
