Why Should I Care? - Poem by Michael Silver

You were very stupid
To leave all your hopes with cupid
Love has never really been your game
It’s always left you blind, broke, and lame
So why should you give a care
If you two will never be a perfect pair
Go home, lie down,
Read a book, mess around,
Be with friends, play a game,
Don’t mope around, that’s just lame
Get her out of your head
It’ll make you sick till your dead
Your heart is torn
And you look so forlorn
I’ve never seen you this bad
I’ve never seen you so sad
You don’t look so great
And I do hate seeing you in such a state
But really
Why should I care
About your little love affair
