Timeless Poem by dino evans

Timeless

Timeless memories of the kind
that float across my troubled mind,
and find me here without you now,
but trying to relive somehow...

All the time we spent together,
laughter, promising forever,
love in bloom, that now is done,
and I the only lonely one...

Heartless is the pain
that travels round the world and back again,
to break my aching heart for me
the loneliness is all I see....

Standing in a pool of tears,
that drowns me with the wasted years,
I spend alone, time come and gone,
The day too dark to see the sun....

That once had shone it's light on me,
though now the brightness seems to be
my emptiness, no sweet caress,
it's fate that broke me down I guess...

Holding this old photograph,
that shows an image of the past,
I shed a tear, and dream of this,
imagining a love, a kiss....

That causes me to write these feelings down,
my smile holds a frown,
I play a role, I play a part,
so I won't feel this broken heart...

For all is just a memory,
like nets cast on an open sea,
to try and catch the way things were,
while sailing on my youth, with her...

My end will come too soon, it's true,
thinking of no one but you,
and on my own it's coming clear,
that love belongs to no one here....

So now I've come to my forever,
no tomorrow, no together,
it seems that I have come to be
the ghost, of memories lost to me...

Timeless in eternity......
