Times - Poem by Elizabeth Hathaway

Looking for something, not sure what,

Maybe something familiar, maybe something new.

Going to keep looking till i feel its right,

Not sure if its close..or far away..

But someday i'll know that it was worth the wait.

Get up every morning and go through the daily motions.

Work to do and responsibilitys and promises to fill.

Just sitting back thinking of what things will be like.

Lifes joys and pleasured shared again.

Rough days a certainty but overcome.

Let me remember all the gains i've made..

And the reason i feel proud when i lay my head down.

The things i lovingly do for the ones i love.

Help me be the father i want to be to my children.

Memories happily made and kept in my heart.
Someday all lifes rewards will be realized.

Everything has its reason and purpose..

Make me strong and full of love to face each day.

Knowing that some day my actions today will be appriciated.

And i lived my life the best way i knew how.

Time for me is time spent doing what feels right.
