Tiny Diamonds Poem by Brandy Avery

Tiny Diamonds

My guard is up to protect my heart. Whenever I am happy it always falls apart. Like tiny diamonds piercing through me. It's dark and I'm blinded by the happiness I see. When I try to swim safely to the shore. I drowned and I am no longer here any more. I try to seek shelter and shade for me. But no hope, no faith, not even a tall, tall tree. I play music because I can be free. One day everyone can open up and meet the brand new me.
