Tip Toe Through The Tulips Poem by John Fenton Mcleish

Tip Toe Through The Tulips

Maybe sonnets should be only 'bout love
And twinkling stars that do shine high above
Or flowers, roses and petalled daisies
Upon which one can see dancing fairies
Not 'bout vice and assassination
Wars and political corruption
Nor 'bout murder and fascist police States
Or do we face an dystopian fate
Let's waste our life on meaningless topics
And not worry 'bout important subjects
Like abortion and infanticide
Agenda twenty one or genocide
So dream o' budding tulips if you may
For soon you wake into slavery
