The modern world is threatening wars,
And peace appears fragile;
Conflicts of past left ugly scars,
And made more people vile!
The virtuous heart of man has vice
That seeks to have revenge;
No nation wants any advice,
But seeks to just avenge.
Forgiveness is a virtue lost
And kindness forgotten;
To hurt all neighbors at some cost
Afills the hearts, rotten.
The world has stock-piled nuclear arms,
Far more than earth can hold;
And natural gases run through farms,
As untilled land is sold.
Corruption grows in every sphere,
And hatred rules most minds;
The rich want poor to live in fear,
As diamonds are huge finds.
Drug-barons poison minds of youth
And Mafia threatens all;
To ruin heads the earth - the truth,
As Nature's furies call.
The love and peace at homes are gone,
As parents, children war;
A sense of suspicion is born,
As rockets race for star.
The time for peace is all the more,
A reality true;
A spark can cause a great furore,
And cause trauma undue.
The ill-effects of wars are great
And lead to loss untold;
The world cannot afford more hate,
As human hearts are cold.
A World War Three can havoc cause
Much more than earlier two;
The human race lies in Death's jaws,
With world in waterloo!
