I lost my leaf in Canada;
When I bared my soul to you.
Like line dried linens
on a windy day. I
bared my family jewels
To a girl I barely knew.
In the arms of winter my leaf fell.
Amid dancing flakes,
on soft sheets of snow.
Just out of reach
is my new leaf,
As her gentle breezes blow.
