This You Can'T Undo Poem by Marcus McKinley

This You Can'T Undo

I close my eyes and hear
The shuffling of grains
Falling into the inevitable

Like love,
death is only a matter of time

And like death,
the scars of love are permanent

I am saddened by the thought
of losing both love and life

But, more so
The love of my life

As the abrasions of the grains
Have left and continue to
Leave their marks

Causing sparks!

I like the question of mortality in this write. Everyone can relate to the question of death, but not all can relate to the feeling of love. Broken hearts. Great write!
