To Be Content Poem by Hans Raj Sharma

To Be Content

What an irony of the fate-
Man is articulating a system
Posing a peril, risk and threat
To the wholeness of human race.

As a self-styled teacher-
With shallow and little bit
Of its borrowed knowledge
Further, teaching generations
Through polluted education system-
Throughout, chosen method and manner.

In total emptiness, the innocent masses
Come to learn and go to serve the mankind
With all their empty brains, hearts and minds.

Quenching thirst and hunger
With available drinks and eats
As they're served on dining tables-
For, the whole system seems to be content!
