To Be Me - Poem by Jammey A. Kovaschetz

Not fighting,
Not getting hurt,
Being smart,
Not a flirt.
Afraid of dying,
Afraid to live,
Afraid of the world,
And how we live.
Not being here,
Not being there,
And really not being,
Anywhere.
So who I am,
And how I am,
Is what I am,
I am man.
So what I want to be,
Is something,
Very important to me,
I want to be... Me!
