To Be Your Juliet (Sonnet #163) Poem by Tina Rizk

To Be Your Juliet (Sonnet #163)

The sea waves hum a tender melody,
Soon they'll embrace and unite with the shore,
They'll celebrate a love never meant to be,
Love is the fusion of hearts evermore.

As the sea and the shore, our hearts shall unite
To beat as one; that's the alchemy of love.
As two swarms, our souls shall sway all the night,
Till a new sun shines upon us, warm, soft.

You're the one my heart longed and prayed to meet
My heart kept recalling you, oh soulmate,
How can my soul forget your love so sweet?
Eons passed, your love's scent perpetuates.

We wrote our love story with will and sweat,
I'll forgo the world — to be your Juliet.
