To Eternity
Your hands held mine
T’was so cold
You looked at me
Like I wasn’t there at all
The drew your breath
But air wasn’t there
Grasping anywhere
Are you still there?
I knew then
It’s time
Life’s too short
We can’t be sure somehow
I closed my eyes
Tears kept on falling
Prayed so hard
It’s gonna be fine
Finally it ended
Silence filled the room
Indeed the beginning
To eternal peace
