To Grieve For My Sister Jean Poem by June FeirCruz

To Grieve For My Sister Jean

I want to mourn such profound loss
I want to grieve and wail like a wounded animal
I want to scream at the top of my lungs
I want to cry till my eyes dry out
I want to sit in a corner, to silence my broken heart.
I want to think that I have been kind to you
I want to think that I have never failed you
I want to think that you were and always will be proud of me
I want to think that you always love me as we love you
I want to think that you are in a better place
That you no longer feel the pain.
