Will you marry me,
I once had thought
To the woman I had sought,
I wanted us to be a we.
I wanted to share my life,
With her at my side
Her to be my bride,
Her to be my love, my wife.
Everyday when I'd awake,
I would always think of her
And how we were,
Her hand I wanted to take.
A short time we had dated,
But, it was long enough
I decided to call the bluff,
Long enough I knew I had waited.
My attention I wanted to broadcast,
So, I fell upon my knees
I then begged her please,
Then I found out, someone else asked.
