To My Children Poem by Joan Sacre

To My Children

Someday I know I will have to part
With the family I hold so dear
This message comes right from my heart
To you all when I'm no longer here. The memories I carry of when you were small,
Have always given me pleasure.
Many time I thanked God for knowing you all,
Your friendship and love is a treasure. The kindness and help you have given to me,
For all this I truly am grateful.
How lucky I am to have mothered you three,
Sometimes parents are treated quite shameful. Don't be sad - just be glad for the good times we knew,
And remember I won't be far away
Don't fall out - be good friends, and be happy too
'Til we all meet again, one fine day.
